Discovering the Culture and People of Cuba, January 2013
January 23-30, 2013 I had the opportunity to visit Cuba under a cultural people to people exchange permit through Sante Fe Photo Workshops. Most of the week was spent in Old Havana. I am convinced that street photography like this could not be done anywhere else in the world. Some of the group also visited the Tropicana as well as Hemingway’s house. The people were generous and gracious and loved seeing their photos on the back of the camera. You could tell Havana was grand at a point in it’s history.

Dear Denise,
Your photos are lovely!!!. I caught myself in one of them. I think is when we were at one of the “Dawn Patrol,” and before I fell and broke my lens.
You were soooo gracious in lending me one. I’ll soon be posting images on my site. The images I took with your lens, I will not crop the lens rim but leave it. It adds to the story.
