The Great Botswana & Namibia Safari, August 2011

The trip began in Windhoek, Namibia.  We then flew over the Namib desert to Sossusvlei staying at the Little Kulala Camp and visiting the Skeleton Coast scenery.  In Namibia we also stayed at Damaraland Camp and Ongava Lodge which was our base to visit Etosha National Park.  Then it was off to Botswana to visit Xigera and Chitabe Camps in the Okavango Delta as well as Savuti Camp in the Linyanti Consession (the only camp repeated from the 2007 visit).  The trip wrapped up with a visit to Chobe National Park and another visit to the River Club and Victoria Falls in Zambia.  You get to Namibia (start of trip) and from Zambia (end of trip) by flying through Johannesburg, South Africa (spending the night on the way over).
